Adoptable Horses

Meet our currently adoptable horses. Each of these horses deserves a forever home with their chosen person! If you're ready to adopt, click the button below to learn about our adoptions process.

Sissy

Born in 1998.

Quarter Horse Mare

15.1 Hands High

Due to health reasons, Sissy's long-time owners made the difficult decision to surrender her to FHHR in October 2023. Sissy has Cushing's Disease and receives daily medications to manage her condition. She has mainly been ridden English-style and as a trail horse. She is trained to stand at a pole for grooming and can be handled by most levels of horse handlers. Sissy is up to date on all shots.

Sissy is a sweet girl who nickers at volunteers to say "hello!" Although Sissy cannot be ridden, she would make a great companion horse. Sissy is a sweet girl who deserves her forever home!

Sissy is currently fostered on-site by the Davis family.

Nora

Born in 2013.

Thoroughbred Mare

15.1 Hands High

SOON TO BE ADOPTABLE

Nora arrived at FHHR in April 2024 and has received refreshment training for the past several months. During this time, she has put on weight and muscle. She is currently WTC and up to date on all of her shots.  Nora behaves well for our farrier, veterinarian, and equine dentist. She is trained to stand at a pole for grooming and can be led by experienced horse handlers.

She will make a great horse for an experienced rider or handler, as she is relatively new to training and riding.

Nora is currently sponsored by Debbie N. and Charles H.
